So me and the bestie did some things this weekend.
We shopped a little.
We enjoyed amazing food.
We listened to really good music.
We people watched.
We enjoyed mimosas.
And we brunches.
Alarming all a pretty great weekend
Love it because when you work hard,
You play hard.
I’m a foodie. I always have been a foodie. However I’m also into healthy eating and just maintaining my health. Since my vacation in Jamaica it’s been a constant food fest.
Let me just tell you, this first week of January is brutal. The workouts, the eating healthy. My body is literally in withdrawal. However as we do each year we embrace it and do our best to be better.
Besides I want to see what my body can do without sweets, and carbs, will maybe once in a while I’ll have carbs. My trainer keeps telling me there are good carbs 😂.
Happy healthy eating you guys!
It started with an end of year celebration, and ended with a brunch.
Nothing like a weekend of fun, girl talk, and mimosas💋
Veggies, and grilled chicken with a side of coconut water for hydration! You can't go wrong with that.
When it’s hot outside you don’t want to also walk around feeling bloated and sluggish. For me I try to do veggies and fresh fruit as much as possible . It’s also good for your digestive system. Nothing like killing two birds with one stone.
Should have thought this through before I worked late and decided to cook.
It was a good meal though. I may be getting the hang of this cooking thing😀
Persian – Style Chicken & Crispy Rice
I’ve never been a fan of cooking. While I’m skilled at fashion the same cannot be said for cooking. I’m not the girl who can just whip something up, that’s not happening. I need help, I need step by step instructions to not ruin a meal. So I’ve been toying with the idea of trying a service that sends me all of the ingredients to make the meal, and all I have to do is follow the directions.
So I jumped off the ledge and decided to try Blue Apron. Now I don’t have a lot of down time so I have to plan for when I’m going to cook. When I made my first meal I was a little nervous, but it turned out well. I said to myself there you have it you can do this. The thing that I really like is if I don’t want meals for any particular week I can cancel the order. The program is a bit pricey at $60 per week but it works for me.
I am no longer nervous to make a meal as I don’t have to be creative, Blue Apron does that for me.
So finally cooking does not cause me undue stress. Yay!!
